About the Director

Monique holds a BA in Performance from New England College and an MA in Educational Theater from New York University. Recently she trod the boards of the Rep’s stage as Mae in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Monique has been teaching theater to all ages for the past decade.  In her early teaching days, while serving as the Director of Education for Northern Stage in Vermont, she taught Scene Study, Character Development and Play Analysis classes. While the Outreach and Arts Education Coordinator at Dartmouth College she started a Scene Study class for non-theater majors. She founded TSE six years ago when she relocated to the seacoast. Past TSE productions include, Man of La Mancha, The Upside of Being Down, Godspell and Into the Woods. Something she adores is coaching students for auditions whether it be for a local production or for their entrance into a college theater program. TSE alum who were coached by Monique are now successfully enjoying theater/music majors at Ithica College, Berklee College of Music and SUNY Purchase.Ages 12-18 may audition
