When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized butt… but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame

A brand-new musical adaptation of Victor Hugo’s classic novel, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a powerful musical retelling of the love story of the gypsy Esmerelda, the deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo, and the gallant Captain Phoebus in 15th Century Paris.

Representing the first-ever collaboration between two stage and screen titans – composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin) and lyricist Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Godspell, Wicked) – The Hunchback of Notre Dame brings a musical power and choral beauty that elevates the story to new heights. Hunchback contains songs from Disney film, including “Out There,” “Topsy Turvy,” and “God Help the Outcasts,” plus entirely new songs sure to surprise fans of the movie.

TESTIMONIALS

“I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to continue to learn from so many talented, kind and passionate Seacoast artists. There is a wonderful sense of community and creativity here. Everyone has been professional, enthusiastic, supportive and truly dedicated to the success of each actor and production. I am learning so much here, improving as a performer and forming great relationships. Thank you PAPA and Seacoast Rep!!!”
-Logan Ricker

“I moved to the Seacoast area last year and was excited as well as nervous to come into a new theater community. I joined the PAPA family last April, and performed with them in the Teen Mainstage productions of Violet, Spamalot, and Our Town! I had a great time working on these shows and being able to experience all types of theater with different music, scenery, and styles, and I’m so grateful to have theater and a place like the Rep to experience it. Through PAPA I have made some of my best friends and learned new things, and over all had an amazing experience!”
-Kaylin Moriarty

“Before Heathers I had never done any theater outside of my high school, and the difference between the two was incredible. What I thought was going to be a really stressful and scary audition was one of the most laid back and fun auditions/callbacks I’ve ever been to. Everyone at the Rep is so kind and welcoming that it is easy to get comfortable and immediately get into character. It’s a huge commitment to do one of these shows but there was never a day that I didn’t want to go to rehearsal and be there the entire time.”

-Max Tullgren

Working with the PAPA Teen Mainstage Program not only helped to shape me as an actor, but also as a person. It was through PAPA where I discovered a unique combination that one very rarely finds: a tight-knit, loving family of talented actors and actresses who not only had the passion and drive to put on a spectacular production, but who genuinely desired to be there and to tell a story.  I am extremely glad that I made the decision to audition for a PAPA show, and I would encourage anyone else to do the same!”

-Megan Murphy

The short span of time I spent in the PAPA Teen Mainstage production of Heathers quickly became the best time of my life. Being exposed not only to incredible castmates but caring and kind directors and stage managers, and a real world theatre experience, I left feeling so much more confident not only with my ability to perform, but as a person.”
