Adult Beginner Tap with Seraphina Caligiure

Rep North | Mondays, 5:30pm-6:15pm | Ages 18+ | $120| January 29 – March 5

Beginner Tap for Adults will concentrate on learning the basics of tap dance.  Students will learn techniques, warm ups, across the floor exercises, and learn traditional dances.  No prior dance experience necessary, but students should have a good sense of movement and rhythm. Students should wear comfortable clothes they can move in. Please bring a water bottle. Tap shoes are required for this class  (Tap shoes can be ordered online at Discount Dance Supply).

We are offering DROP-IN for this class! Drop-in students are welcome in every class with advance notice. Please email if you plan to attend a single class. Drop-in fee: $25

Stranger Than Fiction: Level 101 Improv Fundamentals with Marina Altschiller and Dan Gannon

Learn the basics of improv, starting with “Yes-And,” in this 2 hour long 6-week class. Areas of focus will include the “Yes And” philosophy, character and object work, finding the emotional basis of a scene, and so much more! By the end of class, you’ll be familiar with the basic concepts and have new confidence at work or play. Emphasis is on creating a fun, supportive environment, so get ready to meet new people and have a good time! Students must be 18+ to participate.

Stranger Than Fiction: Level 201 Improv Fundamentals with Tara McDonough

Take the next step toward performing improv onstage! This 2 hour long 6-week class focuses on exploring the diverse world of improv, from performance formats to schools of improv thinking, as well as maintaining and building on the skills learned in Level 101. Classes will include work on short scenes, character, and space-object work, as well as building short-form skills and learning to use them in long-form. Must have completed Level 101 with Stranger Than Fiction or another reputable school and be in good standing as a student, or with instructor permission (email Students must be 18+ to participate.
