Open to ages 7-17, the the Rep’s PAPA Day Camp is designed to introduce, identify and strengthen each participant’s performance skills, self-confidence, creativity, and ability to work with others. Using song, dance, improvisation, theater games and scene study, performers take part in hands-on training in live theater production. Each 2-week session culminates in a fully-staged theatrical performance open to the public. NEW: In 2019 we are moving all three sessions of our Day Camp to the Star Theatre in Kittery Maine. Our campers will have all day, exclusive use of their beautiful theater allowing more time to practice and rehearse for their production. This is seven minute and the Star Theatre has ample parking allowing for easy drop off and pick up every day!

“After my son’s first summer camp session at the Seacoast Repertory Theater, he immediately fell in love with acting, music and the arts in general. He became consumed with learning to play an instrument, singing, and writing plays on his own at home. I credit this to the wonderful people that work with the kids. They are encouraging and wonderful at helping the kids find their inner talent. Their love of theater is infectious and the kids are immediately drawn into their passion.”
-Leigh Cavanaugh

“My son has been involved with the Seacoast Rep’s PAPA Day Camp for over four years now. He has thoroughly enjoyed the experience and looks forward to participating each year.  It has been a great program for helping him assert himself and meet new friends. He loves being part of the group and thinks very highly of all the counselors and instructors.”

Session I: Willy Wonka Kids

June 24th – July 7th

Performances on Saturday July 6th and Sunday July 7th at 10am

*There will not be camp on July 4th

Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory – or suffer the consequences.

Session 2: Cinderella kids

June 8th – July 21st

Performances on Saturday July 20th and Sunday July 21st at 10am

Poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. With a little help from her mice friends – and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother – Cinderella’s dreams come true. She goes to the ball, meets the Prince and falls in love!

Session 3: Frog and Toad Kids

July 22 – August 4th

Performances on Saturday August 3rd and Sunday August 4th at 10am

This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.

Apply to be a Counselor in Training!

You are eligible to apply to be a CIT if you will be 15 or older during camp.  CIT’s receive a $300 discount on tuition*. If your camper applies and is accepted as a CIT, their tuition will be adjusted to reflect CIT pricing.

Applications are due by March 31st. Apply here.

*Please note that discounts may not be combined.  We will be sure to give you whichever discount is best. If you registered early and received a discount and are going to be a CIT, you will receive the CIT discount instead of the early bird discount, etc.
