Learn the basics of improv, during this 6-week class with Stranger Than Fiction veteran cast member David Chevalier! Areas of focus will include character and object-work, relationships to your environment and fellow players, finding the emotional basis of a scene, and the improv philosophy of YES, AND. By the end of class, you’ll be familiar with basic concepts and have new confidence at work or at play. Emphasis is on creating a fun, supportive environment. No experience necessary! Feeling timid about your comedy prowess? Well, do not worry! Stranger Than Fiction classes do not have a requirement for students to “be funny,” we are looking for students who want to learn and are willing to play, create, and imagine. So get ready to meet new people, share joy & laughter, and mostly have a great time!
The class is for adults only, 18 or older. The fee will be $150 for the six-week course.
Conveniently located in Portsmouth, NH at Rep North, 1 Raynes Avenue.
Class begins SUNDAY 10/18/15 @ 2:00PM and will continue for 6 weeks through 11/22/15. Each class is two hour long session. Please wear comfortable shoes and clothes you can move in! Ladies, if you are wearing a skirt or dress, we recommend bicycle shorts underneath. Don’t forget to bring water to stay hydrated.

Seacoast Rep is proud to help tKAPOW! remount their award-winning interpretation of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Cast with just three performers, tKAPOW's Macbeth presents an intimate and chilling vision of Shakespeare's haunting "Scottish Play".
